Project Description

The Alle-Kiski Best Practices Collaborative CREATE Lab Satellite Network, known as ABC CREATE, is an incubator of curriculum and project design across K-12 public education with a vision to be the change agents in the Alle-Kiski Valley (a four-county area near Pittsburgh) by investing in the region’s next generation of students through innovative STEAM education. Its mission is to work collaboratively to connect ABC CREATE teachers in region with professional learning communities, tools and best practices that will develop competent and technologically fluent students.
As a CREATE Lab Satellite Network partner, ABC CREATE enjoys access to creative technologies and best practices developed and validated by the schools of education in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Utah, comprising the CREATE Lab Satellite Network.
ABC CREATE Partner Organizations
Currently, ABC CREATE is comprised of 14 school districts in the Alle-Kiski region, and is led by Penn State New Kensington, in partnership with the CREATE Lab at Carnegie Mellon University, the Grable Foundation and the Arconic Foundation.
